Job summary

NV Energy seeks a qualified Plant Operator to support energy production in Nevada. You will operate and monitor turbines, generators, and plant systems, ensuring efficient, safe operations while maintaining detailed logs and responding to abnormal conditions.

Two years of related mechanical, electrical, or controls experience is required or an equivalent technical degree. The role involves maintenance support and coordination with dispatch during shifts and outages.

Qualifications

• Two years of related mechanical, electrical or instrument and controls experience in industrial process or electric utility settings.
• Associate of science degree in a technical field or related military experience or ISA certifications (CCST/CMRT) preferred.
• Combination of relevant experience, skills and education may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor power plant equipment to maintain safe, reliable energy production.
• Record data, run logs, and communicate abnormal plant conditions to dispatch.
• Assist in maintenance, testing, and basic repairs as trained; participate in standby and outage activities.
