Georgia Power Company is seeking multi-discipline General Plant Operators to operate and maintain our Combustion Turbine power plant in Brunswick, GA. The role focuses on safe, reliable operation, monitoring plant equipment, and supporting maintenance activities with strong attention to safety and compliance.

Successful candidates must demonstrate problem-solving skills, clear communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Competenze

• High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
• 2-Year College/Technical Degree or Equivalent Military Training preferred.
• Experience operating combustion turbine, combined cycle, fossil steam boiler-turbine is highly desired.
• Experience in industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance or certified training is desired. 5+ years of experience is highly desired.

Mansioni

• Operate and monitor power plant equipment and systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Follow all safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
• Perform routine plant inspections, equipment rounds, and operational checks.
• Respond to alarms, abnormal conditions, and operational events.
• Execute plant startup, shutdown, and switching activities in accordance with approved procedures.
• Perform unloading and transfer of fuel oil, while ensuring documentation is entered into appropriate systems correctly.
• Maintain accurate operating logs, reports, and shift turnover communications.
• Support preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and outage activities.
• Administer and support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other safe work practices.
• Identify equipment issues, troubleshoot problems, and document findings through plant work management systems.
• Support plant reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
