At LCRA, we are seeking an ambitious candidate for our open Plant Operator I position! This entry-level role involves monitoring and isolating equipment, operating switchgear/breakers, and troubleshooting in a coal-fired power plant environment. You will develop skills through structured work assignments and formal training. Join us and contribute to a company committed to community impact!

Hourly Rate: $25/hr

You will be trusted to:

1. Monitor and operate all equipment in your area after training completion.
2. Isolate and tag out equipment for maintenance following procedures.
3. Learn equipment parameters to identify and report issues.
4. Complete logs and reports as instructed.
5. Assist during outages with maintenance and controls departments.
6. Perform rounds to monitor equipment.

For incumbents at FPP and Lost Pines: Participation in operator training is required.

For Fayette Power Project: Assist with plant and fuel yard operations, including mechanical, electrical, and material handling systems related to coal processing.

You qualify with:

• Experience in power plant or coal yard equipment maintenance and monitoring, including tagging systems.
• Driver's license.

You are a great fit if you have:
