Job summary

NES Fircroft seeks an experienced Power Plant Manager to lead operations and maintenance of a utility-scale combined-cycle natural gas plant. You will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance, meeting environmental and financial objectives.

The role requires strong leadership of a 2x1 combined-cycle facility, oversight of outages, budgets, compliance with NERC and regulations, and a drive for continuous improvement and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Significant leadership experience with combined-cycle power plant operations and maintenance.
• Experience managing operations and maintenance at a utility-scale natural gas power plant.
• Experience with large frame gas turbines (Siemens/GE/Mitsubishi preferred).
• Strong outage planning, budgeting, and cost management background.
• Familiarity with NERC compliance and environmental/regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing O&M teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operation.
• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, outages, and performance.
• Manage annual operating budgets, cost controls, purchasing, and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with NERC, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop plant personnel; foster safety-first culture.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Build relationships with ownership, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Recommend plant upgrades and process improvements with sound analysis.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and procedures.
