Job summary

United States Sugar Corporation in Savannah, GA, is seeking a capable leader to train, coach, and direct the utilities operations and maintenance team to safely perform tasks, meet plant objectives, and uphold standard work practices.

You will develop future leaders, own equipment and process knowledge in the Utilities department, create efficient SOPs, and coordinate training, planning, and TPM initiatives to improve reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's in mechanical/electrical engineering or business preferred.
• Associate's degree in an industrial or technical field preferred.
• 3–5 years in operations/maintenance required; supervisory experience a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating procedures; write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental and safety compliance of Power Plant operation.
• Review daily operations of Power Plant.
• Develop and implement training plans; identify required tasks for refinery positions.
• Write process descriptions and SOPs; maintain training information.
• Interface with maintenance to prioritize work and improve methods.
• Audit operator documents and ensure CMMS data entry.
• Communicate production plan and downtime to management and staff.
• Lead confined space, hot work, and other permit processes in Utilities.
