Entergy is seeking a senior plant operations leader to manage the performance and safety of a power plant in Texas. You will oversee technical staff and drive reliability, regulatory compliance, and financial performance with a focus on efficiency and safety.

The role requires 8+ years of supervisory experience, a technical degree, and strong leadership capabilities to guide a large team through complex plant operations and regulatory environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of supervisory/management experience, preferably in a plant environment.
  • In-depth experience operating and overseeing power plants.
  • Knowledge of power plant operations, maintenance, safety, cost control and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong project management and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe production within regulatory requirements including environmental permits, NERC, Sarbanes‑Oxley processes, RTO requirements, and company policies.
  • Own plant operations and performance; allocate resources to meet objectives; adapt plans for service challenges.
  • Direct plant staff and coordinate with engineering, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and support teams; ensure training.
  • Foster a high-performance culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure plant readiness to meet system load requirements; collaborate with system planning to maximize production.
  • Prepare and manage plant budgets; monitor performance against financial and operational goals; drive gap-closure actions.
