Job summary

Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking an Associate Outside Operator to help keep our power generation facility running safely and reliably.

You will work with experienced operators and maintenance professionals, gaining hands-on experience in plant operations, equipment monitoring, and routine maintenance. The role follows a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends, with a total compensation package designed to reward performance and growth within our expanding MO/AR/OK

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow instructions, learn plant operating procedures, and perform assigned tasks under close supervision.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and standby status.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment inspections, routine rounds, preventive maintenance, and documentation under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Monitor plant equipment, record instrument readings, and maintain accurate shift logs to support safe and efficient operations.
• Work alongside operations and maintenance teams, using tools and equipment to support plant reliability while following established safety procedures.
