Job summary

Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. seeks a Manager of Gas Operations to lead the safe, reliable operation of a combined-cycle power facility and build a skilled operations team.

You will oversee daily plant operations, improve performance, and collaborate with leadership to meet regulatory and long-term goals. The role aligns with the Manager leadership level, with accountability for team performance, annual objectives, and results within the operations function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or eight years of combined-cycle power plant experience.
• At least five years of experience supervising or leading personnel.
• In-depth knowledge of combustion turbine operations and strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations with a strong focus on safety, reliability, environmental compliance, NERC requirements, and efficient power generation.
• Monitor plant equipment and operating data, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities to improve reliability, productivity, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned operational activities and support outage planning and execution across plant teams.
• Partner with plant leadership on budgeting, annual operating plans, performance reporting, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

As a Manager, Gas Operations, you will lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a combined-cycle power generation facility while developing a skilled and engaged operations team.
