Job summary

CAMS is seeking an O&M Technician at the Washington County (Sandersville) and AL Sandersville (Warthen) sites to operate and maintain a simple-cycle power plant using advanced mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation skills. Depending on experience, you may start in a single-skill role or enter a multi-skilled position immediately.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems, maintaining LOTO procedures, and documenting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• 3–5 years of power plant experience.
• Experience with GE 7EA or 7FA combustion turbines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant systems to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical systems, instrumentation & controls, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain control of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes and ensure proper safety protocols.
• Qualify as a control room operator and adhere to all plant operating procedures.
• Document maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance records accurately.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs in a team-oriented environment.
