Job summary

Sterling St James LLC seeks an Operations & Maintenance Technician I/II for our power plant in Albuquerque, NM. You will start, stop and monitor gas turbine equipment, record readings, and perform semi-routine maintenance tasks to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, equipment diagnosis, and supporting development of procedures and operator training. Some travel and compliance with environmental and safety regulations are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent preferred in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation.
• Experience in CEMS maintenance and DAHS is a plus.
• Journey-level typically 5 years related experience; senior level 10+ years.
• Experience with hazardous chemicals and waste materials beneficial.
• Experience with testing equipment and calibration devices.

Responsibilities

• Operate start/stop and monitor equipment; record activities in logs.
• Perform maintenance, diagnosis, repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Assist in development of procedures and operator training modules.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and plant procedures.
• Support safety trainings and shift coverage as needed.
• Occasional travel may be required.
