Job summary

Tilton Energy Center is seeking an O&M Technician II to ensure safe, reliable operation of the Tilton plant in NH. You will monitor systems, respond to alarms, start up/shut down procedures, and support instrument and electrical maintenance across the facility.

The role requires technical reading of diagrams, familiarity with plant software, and adherence to safety standards. A valid driver's license and some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical associate degree preferred.
• Two years minimum experience as Assistant Plant Operator or equivalent in a power plant.
• O&M Technician qualification must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate gas-fired turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems, including start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Monitor and record operational data to maintain safe performance within prescribed limits.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on major equipment and emergency backup systems.
• Maintain accurate equipment files, logs, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Manage spare parts inventory and assist with physical inventory counts.
• Update and maintain plant operating manuals, technical references, and maintenance records.
• Safely operate plant equipment and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Interpret complex blueprints and diagrams; perform switching/tagging under supervision.
