Job summary

Capital Power in Arlington Valley, AZ is hiring an Operations & Maintenance Technician to join a three-person crew on a 12-hour rotating shift at a 580 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation and provide relief duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Technical training related to the role preferred.
• Experience in power plants or control rooms preferred.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, safety procedures desirable.
• Ability to read schematics and operate plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of all plant equipment across operations.
• Read meters and gauges to verify operating parameters.
• Start, stop, and manipulate equipment as directed.
• Coordinate with Control Room Operator and other teams.
• Perform preventative maintenance and log in Maximo.
• Maintain relationships across crews and departments.
• Operate heavy equipment and perform housekeeping as directed.
