Job summary

Capital Power in Arlington, AZ seeks an Operations & Maintenance Technician to join a three-person crew on a 12-hour rotating shift at a 580MW Combined Cycle Power Plant. Responsibilities include safe equipment operation and data logging, with opportunities for relief duties and on-the-job training.

The role requires a high school diploma and technical training preferred; candidates should demonstrate strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and adherence to procedures in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical training preferred.
• Experience as an Operator in a power plant is preferred.
• Ability to read meters, gauges, and data recording devices.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of plant equipment across shifts.
• Record data from meters, gauges, and sensors.
• Start, stop, and manipulate equipment as directed.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures.
• Assist Control Room Operator and relay issues as needed.
• Participate in preventative maintenance and log in Maximo.
• Operate heavy equipment when required.
