The role offers hands-on experience mentoring by senior engineers at the Milwaukee Valley Power Plant. You will gain exposure to operations, maintenance and optimization activities while supporting the generating fleet and learning corporate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
• Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a graduation date after July 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support and shadow the plant mechanical engineer.
• Equipment reliability.
• Capital project support.
• Gain familiarity and competence with company computer applications, drawing management systems, and work management tools.
• Search, retrieve, review and update drawings and related technical documentation.
• Help troubleshoot operation and maintenance issues under direct supervision.
• Participate in safety observations and environmental walkdowns.
• Support outage planning activities such as scope development, material management and vendor selection.
• Introduction to high energy piping inspections to detect and manage flow accelerated corrosion.
• Complete assigned training on corporate policies, plant systems, and safety.

Education

Pursuing BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering

GPA minimum 2.8
