Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative seeks a senior operations leader for the Bison Generation Station in North Dakota. This role directs the safe, reliable operation and long-term maintenance planning of the facility to meet member needs.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and drive safety programs while coordinating with other departments to ensure performance and cost effectiveness. A relocation package and 401(k) match accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years in power generation or related field.
• Associate’s degree with 12 years in power generation or related field.
• High school diploma with 14 years in power generation or related field.
• Prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, organize, and manage safe operation and maintenance of the Bison Generation Station.
• Provide technical input for power plant operation and maintenance decisions.
• Develop and maintain plant safety standards and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ensure safety is emphasized in all actions.
• Develop budgets and long-range engineering plans.
