Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative's Dakota Gasification Company in Beulah, ND seeks an Electrical Instrument Control Systems Engineer to enhance plant reliability, reduce downtime, and support maintenance with expert E/I&C knowledge.

The role focuses on developing scopes, troubleshooting, and ensuring safe, compliant operation of the Synfuels plant through effective maintenance collaboration and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Valid driver's license.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing scopes of work, estimates, specs, and project schedules.
• Assess feasibility and design of electrical, instrumentation and control projects for plant operations.
• Troubleshoot control systems and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in specifying new equipment and maintaining standardization.
• Participate in checkout/acceptance testing and commissioning of new installations.
• Optimize spare parts inventory and support BOM revisions.
• Create as-built documentation for control systems.
• Support asset management and reliability improvement efforts.
• Provide technical support to Operations, Planning and Maintenance.
