Job summary

Castleton Commodities International seeks an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the Signal Hill power plant in Wichita County, Texas. You will ensure safe, reliable operation, regulatory compliance, and performance optimization for a 77 MW facility running gas turbines and heat recovery systems.

You will lead a team of Plant Technicians, manage budgets, coordinate with ERCOT, and drive improvements to efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental stewardship in a dynamic market environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent power industry leadership experience.
• Experience managing a power plant and understanding gas turbine and steam generator operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ERCOT market operations and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal/external stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of plant operations including safety, maintenance, production, and personnel management.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and promote a safety culture.
• Monitor performance and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with ERCOT and stakeholders to meet market demands during peak periods.
• Develop and manage the plant’s budget, forecasting and controlling costs.
• Lead and mentor Plant Technicians, fostering a high-performance team.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations, maintenance, and environmental performance.
• Maintain relationships with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and the community.
