Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling regular maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to ensure system reliability and longevity.
- Provide support to field teams to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor scheduled, unscheduled, and planned maintenance activities performed by plant maintenance field teams and subcontractors to optimize plant performance and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to operations, maintenance, and performance metrics.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Develop strategies to optimize system performance, maximize efficiency, and minimize downtime.
- Identify opportunities for plant performance improvement and work with account management and performance analytics departments to implement solutions.
- Collaborate with procurement to coordinate suppliers, vendors, and contractors for necessary equipment, parts, and services.
- Assist in evaluating individual and plant activities and implementing corrective actions as required.
- Support the preparation of cost estimates and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the completion and submission of all inspections and testing data provided by field personnel.
- Assist with monitoring compliance of standard operational procedures within the Power Plant Maintenance department.
- Assist with preparation of operational reports using various data and CMMS platforms.
- Perform other duties as required by the Manager of Power Plant Operations.
Environmental Responsibilities:
- Will participate in the environmental compliance program, administrative record maintenance of regulated hazardous and non-hazardous waste, conduct routine inspections, and support emergency response operations.
- Assists maintaining compliance with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in plant maintenance operations, preferably with PV power generation systems.
- Experience with IPP (independent Power Producer) solar sites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must.
- Experience using CMMS platforms.
- Experience with DAS platforms and standard production metrics related to PV generation.
- Clear understanding of safe workplace practices and procedures.
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to remote project sites.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and industry-related software platforms.
- Experience making and/or recommending business decisions that are safe, financially responsible, and justifiable.
- Qualifications in project management or relevant experience in managing projects.
- In-depth knowledge of solar power generation systems and maintenance practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead a field team.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for maintenance management and data analysis.
- Ability to operate in a professional workmanlike manner consistent with the organization’s policies, procedures, and vision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time.
- Must have the ability to travel for extended duration to remote project sites.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel or bend.
- Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
- 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction and ability to distinguish colors.
- Ability to wear full complement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends.
