Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform general equipment and facility maintenance and support utility distribution repairs at the Capitol Power Plant. This is a full-time day shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Essential duties include maintaining plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, replacing components, and assisting with steam and chilled water distribution work. Candidates must have 3+ years of relevant experience and be able to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in facilities of comparable complexity.
• Ability to identify common causes of electrical and mechanical failures and understand technical drawings/specifications.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize tasks; work with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Replace components—receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, motors—as assigned.
• Repair/replace exhaust fan motors and maintain equipment and machinery.
• Repair concrete floors and steps; hang doors and install locks.
• Assist with steam and chilled water distribution work.
• Document maintenance work accurately; follow safety procedures.
