Job summary

CAMS is seeking a results-driven Maintenance Manager to oversee daily maintenance and outage activities at the Linden Generating Station in Linden, NJ. The role leads 14 skilled professionals, including union-represented staff, and reports to the Plant Manager, focusing on safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.

The position requires strong leadership, budgeting, planning and collaboration across departments to drive reliability and continuous improvement in power generation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent; 8–10 years in power plant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in power generation or outage management.
• At least 2 years supervisory or managerial experience.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and develop team members to foster a productive, inclusive, and compliant workforce.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance and outage activities, including work schedules, training, and inspections.
• Procure tools, materials, and services and oversee storeroom operations with inventory controls.
• Monitor the maintenance budget, optimize labor utilization, control costs, and minimize overtime.
• Ensure calibration, storage, and proper use of testing equipment while complying with standards.
• Collaborate on station and department initiatives to support fleet-wide improvements.
• Streamline maintenance programs to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or senior leadership.
