Job summary

The Deerhaven Power Plant seeks an Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Technician. This highly skilled journeyman role installs, calibrates, and maintains electrical, electronic, digital, pneumatic, hydraulic and computer controlled instrumentation/controls equipment and systems.

Experience with DCS and PLC systems is highly desirable. Requires high school diploma and completion of progression-through-training program or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and completion of progression-through-training program or equivalent experience.
• Experience installing, calibrating, and maintaining power plant electrical/instrumentation/controls systems.
• Experience with DCS and PLC systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain power plant electrical, electronic, digital, pneumatic, hydraulic and computer controlled instrumentation/controls equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair power plant instruments and electrical equipment including motors, switchgear, transformers and relays.
• Work with PLCs, DCS and VFDs; assist in programming and networking computer controls.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE, lockout/tagout and OSHA regulations.
