Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Providence, Rhode Island is seeking an I&E Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, install and repair instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment at a combined cycle power plant. The role operates under a bargaining unit with UWUA, AFL-CIO, and pays an hourly rate of $48.62.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, analyze test data, read schematics, and support plant safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus two years of trade or technical school with training in the fundamentals of The Power Plant Cycle.
• Six years experience in maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of instrument and electrical (I&E) systems in a power plant or similar industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all plant I&E equipment from routine maintenance to complex I&E troubleshooting at a combined cycle power plant.
• Assist and advise Management and Plant Operators on all instrumentation and electrical equipment and systems.
• Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance activities, including readings, inspections, lubrication, and cleaning.
