Job summary

AXG Contracting is seeking an Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical Technician to join its plant maintenance team. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting DCS/PLC systems and field equipment, calibration of instruments and control valves, and maintenance of electrical gear.

Four years of relevant experience in power generation or utilities is preferred, with GE Mark V/VIe or Emerson Ovation experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in power generation, utilities, or marine propulsion.
• Hands-on technician with strong controls capability and instrumentation/electrical exposure.
• Experience with DCS/PLC systems and field equipment.
• Safety-minded with collaborative, proactive approach.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.
• Experience with GE Mark V/VIe or Emerson Ovation preferred.
• Candidates with transferable PLC/DCS experience are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot DCS/PLC systems and field equipment.
• Calibrate instruments, transmitters, and control valves.
• Maintain electrical equipment and support plant repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance work orders and keep technical records.
• Support planned outages and emergency maintenance.
