Job summary

The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is seeking a junior or rising senior in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering for a summer 2027 Power Plant Engineering Internship in the Austin, TX area. Relocation stipend available to help cover housing during the summer.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited university program; current junior or starting senior year.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments under supervision of a licensed professional engineer.
• Contribute to projects involving adaptations and modifications to power plant systems, equipment, materials and procedures.
• Contribute to tests and diagnosis and evaluation of equipment performance for power plants.
• Prepare reports, operating instructions and project outlines in connection with engineering assignments. Follow appropriate business procedures, and apply project management techniques.
