Xcel Energy in Minnesota is seeking an Engineering Intern to support plant reliability, maintenance, and project oversight. You will work with engineering staff and gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting, work order management, safety observations, and project closure.

The internship starts May 24, 2027, with potential extension based on performance. Requirements include being a current engineering student, junior or higher; enrollment in accredited program; willingness to travel; and hybrid

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in Engineering
• Enrolled in an accredited college/university
• Available to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week)

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand Power Plant processes
• Support drawing updates and records management
• Support equipment inspections
• Participate in equipment troubleshooting
