AEP is seeking a Plant Engineer to provide technical leadership and engineering support for safe, reliable, efficient plant operations. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage documentation and projects with operations, maintenance, vendors, and regulators.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree plus 2+ years of related engineering experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability background.
• Experience with control systems, instrumentation, and performance monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment and system issues; support startup/shutdown activities and corrective actions.
• Perform structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis to improve reliability.
• Monitor plant data and identify performance gaps affecting availability, heat rate, and efficiency.
• Support capital projects and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
• Maintain configuration control and technical documentation; ensure compliance.
• Support regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
