Job summary

System One in La Crosse, WI is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 12-month contract at the French Island Generating Plant. The role combines project engineering with day-to-day reliability tasks in an onsite environment.

You will lead projects, develop technical docs, supervise other engineers, and support budgeting and procurement through commissioning. Onsite work only; EIT/FE preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience in power utilities.
• EIT/FE strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects of moderate to large size with technical standards.
• Develop technical documentation and procedures.
• Provide field engineering oversight for operations, maintenance, testing.
• Coordinate multiple projects across design, procurement, and commissioning.
• Serve as technical contact in bid/evaluation processes.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support staff.
• Lead budgeting, estimating, and work order management in projects.
