Jobot is seeking an experienced Power Plant Controls Operator to join our growing energy team in Indiana. You will operate and maintain power plant controls, turbines, and GCCS, ensuring safe and reliable electricity production.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a similar role, strong technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Power Plant Controls Operator or in a similar role within the energy industry.
• Proven experience with power plant controls, turbines, auxiliary equipment, spark-ignition reciprocating engines, and GCCS.
• Strong technical understanding of power plant operations and systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control power plant equipment, including turbines, auxiliary equipment, and spark-ignition reciprocating engines to generate electricity.
• Monitor and inspect power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems.
• Adjust controls to generate specified electrical power or to regulate the flow of power between generating stations and substations.
• Control power plant systems, including GCCS, to ensure efficient and safe plant operations.
• Perform regular maintenance and repair work on power plant control equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Record and compile operational data, such as temperature, pressure, and power output readings, and system malfunctions.
• Develop and implement systems for controlling, testing, or recording power plant emissions.
• Collaborate with engineers and other power plant operators to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest trends and developments in power plant control systems and apply this knowledge in the operations.
