Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Instrument and Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, power plant operations, and ladder logic programming. The successful candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve complex control systems, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance on instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs for all control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process and system improvements.
  • Conduct tests and inspections on control systems and equipment to ensure safety standards and regulations are met.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance work, system modifications, and repairs.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in control systems technology and apply knowledge to improve operations.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Instrument and Controls Technician or similar role.
  • Proven experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of power plant operations and control systems.
  • Proficiency in ladder logic programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
