Job summary

Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee construction activities, manage contractors, and coordinate field operations at the Apollo Beach, FL site. This onsite role focuses on safety, efficiency, and staying on schedule and within budget for power plant projects and outages.

The position requires strong leadership, scheduling, and constructability input, plus the ability to work at Big Bend Power Station five days a week and travel between facilities as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 15 years related work experience OR 12 years in power plant operations or maintenance.
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in construction or industrial settings.
• Experience in power generation facilities or plant maintenance environments.
• Ability to travel between power station facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities for power plant projects and outages.
• Direct and coordinate supervisors, contractors, and craft personnel on safety, quality, and schedule.
• Manage multiple contracts, including costs, timelines, and performance.
• Monitor staffing levels to ensure adequate resources for requirements.
• Provide constructability input during planning and design phases.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety policies, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project teams, engineers, vendors, and plant personnel.
• Review contract changes and change orders with Project Controls.
• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and operational issues.
• Support storm preparedness, outages, and restoration activities.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to supervisors.
• Maintain relationships with contractors, plant leadership, and union trades.
