Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to support power plant QA and field welding inspections. The role requires performing visual and NDE-based weld examinations, tracking weld data, and developing repair recommendations during outages.

The candidate should understand boiler tube and piping codes and be willing to work at heights as needed. We value strong collaboration with Authorized inspectors, engineers, and project teams, and the ability to write clear outage reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in power plant inspections and QA processes.
• Ability to write outage reports with inspection findings and repair recommendations.
• Knowledge of WPS and metallurgy; familiarity with boiler tubes and piping codes.
• Ability to certify Level 2 VT, PT, and MT inspections (or willingness to train).

Responsibilities

• Conduct boiler tube inspections and identify leaks and conditions.
• Perform visual and penetrant inspections (PT) on welds in the field.
• Develop and track weld data sheets and maintain weld qualification records.
• Coordinate with inspectors and engineers, including collaboration with EPRI guidance.
• Prepare outage reports and recommendations for future outages.
