Tray-Tec, Inc. in the United States seeks a Class A QC Inspector to perform quality control inspections of process piping, structural steel, welding, and flange assembly to ensure compliance with project specs and industry codes.

You will support welding inspections, NDE coordination, flange and bolting checks, and comprehensive quality documentation, contributing to safe, reliable turnaround and field service projects. This role requires field work across U.S.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in welding inspection or related field preferred.
• Minimum 6 years QC inspection in industrial construction or turnaround environments.
• Experience with process piping and structural steel inspection.
• Refinery, petrochemical, power generation, or industrial construction experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform visual inspections of welds for process piping and structural steel systems.
• Verify compliance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and project requirements.
• Monitor welding activities for workmanship, dimensional accuracy, and code compliance.
• Create and maintain weld maps, logs, and traceability documentation.
• Document weld repairs and corrective actions.
• Generate and coordinate NDE requests and review NDE reports for completeness.
• Verify flange alignment, gasket installation, bolt selection, and bolting practices.
• Inspect flange makeup activities for compliance with procedures.
• Verify torque values and maintain torque documentation.
• Support hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing activities.
• Document inspections and quality findings and assist in turnover documentation.
• Coordinate inspection activities with foremen, welders, fitters, client inspectors, and project supervision.
