Selectek in Conyers, GA is seeking a Boiler Operator to ensure safe operation of the Multifuel Bubbling Fluidized Bed Boiler, emissions control systems, and the 9 MW steam turbine generator. The role involves conducting critical testing, performing minor mechanical maintenance, and maintaining accurate administrative logs.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in power plant and control room operations, a High School Diploma or GED, and familiarity with boiler water chemistry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in power plant and control room operations.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with boiler water chemistry analysis is required.
• Experience with solid fuel firing and heavy equipment operations are a plus.
• Proficiency operating valves, switches, and controls on power plant equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, including P&IDs and schematics.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities under pressure.
• Excellent time management and crisis management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts on a DuPont Schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Multifuel Bubbling Fluidized Bed Boiler and emissions control system safely.
• Operate the 9 MW steam turbo-generator.
• Perform minor maintenance to support continuous operations.
• Conduct routine testing including boiler water chemistry analysis.
• Maintain precise logs, records, and data sheets; prepare reports and work orders.
• Maintain strict housekeeping standards and take corrective action as needed.
• Handle additional operational duties as assigned by management.
