Job summary

Reworld Waste in Massachusetts seeks an Auxiliary Operator to support our power plant systems and ensure safe, efficient industrial disposal operations. You will work with control room staff to operate and inspect equipment, adhering to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 2–3 years of heavy equipment experience, MA licensure or ability to obtain it, and the flexibility to work rotating shifts. A 2nd MA Fireman license or higher is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Must possess or be able to quickly obtain MA 1C/2C Hoisting License.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• 2nd MA Fireman license or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems in line with safety procedures (boilers, APC, ash systems, heavy equipment).
• Monitor boiler plant auxiliary equipment: pumps, motors, fans, dampers, compressors, valves, conveyors, turbines, electrical devices.
• Read meters and gauges to identify trends and potential equipment disruptions.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment.
• Perform sampling and chemistry testing, water treatment as required.
• Safe operation of cranes, skid steers, loaders, forklifts.
