Job summary

Annapurna Labs, an AWS organization, is seeking a Power and Performance Validation Engineer to own power validation for next‑generation ML accelerators powering AWS data centers.

You will cover silicon power domains, DVFS flows, PDN characterization, and system‑level power budgeting, influencing operating envelopes and architecture decisions while collaborating with power, RTL, firmware, and software teams across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience on high‑performance digital systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in power characterization, power delivery validation, or power architecture verification for high‑performance digital systems.
• Strong understanding of DVFS flows, power control schemes, peak power management, and di/dt handling techniques.
• Experience with power measurement instrumentation and data analysis to drive optimization.

Responsibilities

• Developing comprehensive power validation strategies from early design validation through emulation, silicon bring‑up, and production support.
• Characterizing peak power and transient behavior under real ML workloads across corners.
• Hands‑on power measurements and debug in lab using DC power analyzers, probes, oscilloscopes, and VNA/TDR.
• Validating power management algorithms, DVFS transitions, thermal throttling, and power capping on silicon.
• Correlating silicon power measurements with pre‑silicon models and driving model‑to‑silicon feedback with architecture teams.
• Building automated power regression frameworks, dashboards, and anomaly detection at scale.
• Collaborating across power architecture, design, firmware, and software teams to triage power issues.
