Job summary

Apple Inc. in Santa Clara, California, is seeking a Power & Performance Hardware Engineer in Platform Architecture to join a team that connects hardware and software into one unified system and to advance our renowned SoC architecture.

You will collect and analyze power and performance data across devices and workloads, develop procedures for measurements, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify bottlenecks and recommend hardware and software improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience using benchmark software tools to measure system performance.
• Experience with Python and shell scripting.
• Experience with modern consumer electronics devices, SoCs and multiple operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze power and performance data across devices and workloads.
• Understand new software workloads, develop procedures for measuring power and performance.
• Set up and configure devices and software to enable accurate benchmarking.
• Disassembling/reassembling of consumer devices while preserving functionality and thermal properties.
• Debugging and troubleshooting of desktop and mobile devices.
