Job summary

Apple's System Performance Engineering group is responsible for in-depth performance analysis across the full stack of Mac and iPad systems during development. You will assess workloads from high-level software APIs to device micro-architectural details, influencing guidance across software, firmware, and silicon teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE or Computer Engineering and 2+ years of performance analysis across system architecture.
• Hands-on experience in performance measurement, analysis, debug and optimization.
• Experience with power and thermal management technologies and firmware.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python and ability to learn new languages as needed.

Responsibilities

• Play a critical role in ensuring the performance excellence of Mac and iPad systems under development.
• Present findings and insights to executive leaders in cooperation with cross-functional partners on software, hardware and silicon teams.
• Curate and define workloads that represent customers for various market segments (content creators, gamers, developers, everyday users).
