Job summary

Arm is seeking a hands-on Power and Performance Engineer to join the Platforms and Performance Analysis team in San Jose. You will profile SoC platforms, define TDP methodologies, and drive PnP analysis for robotics and automotive markets.

You will build automation harnesses, run Linux-based workloads on boards and reference platforms, and deliver actionable reports to architecture, product, and software teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-silicon or post-silicon power and performance analysis.
• Experience with SoC power/performance analysis across CPU/GPU/NPU/memory/interconnect.
• Hands-on experience running workloads on Linux-based devices or pre/post-silicon environments.
• Experience developing automation harnesses for workload execution, data collection and analysis.
• Understanding of power, thermal, and performance trade-offs in complex SoCs.
• Strong scripting and data-analysis skills (Python, shell).
• Ability to translate workload behaviour into measurable engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

• Profile SoC platforms for power and performance across units and full-system workloads.
• Run benchmarks and workloads on Linux-based devices, development boards, and pre/post-silicon environments.
• Develop automation harnesses for workload execution, telemetry, and power measurement.
• Lead pre-silicon PnP analysis and post-silicon platform characterization and bottleneck analysis.
• Define TDP methodology linking workloads to sustained performance and thermal constraints.
• Produce technical reports and recommendations for multiple engineering teams.
