Job summary

Arm Limited is seeking a Board Power / Power Distribution Engineer to design and optimize the power delivery network for high-performance compute platforms. You will define power architectures, run simulations, and review PCB layouts to ensure robust delivery from DC-DC converters to the SoC.

You will collaborate with SoC architects, power integrity teams, and suppliers while contributing to datasheets and application notes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Power distribution and design.
• Proficiency in DC-DC converter topologies and power stages.
• Knowledge of telemetry interfaces (PMBus, SMBus, AVBus).
• Experience with board PDN analysis and thermal considerations.
• Familiarity with lab equipment and EMI/EMC techniques.

Responsibilities

• Define board power architectures and power trees to meet system requirements.
• Perform PDN analyses and simulations using industry tools.
• Develop schematics and review PCB layouts for robust power delivery.
• Collaborate across teams on layout optimization, telemetry, EM/PI specs.
• Validate power solutions in the lab using test equipment.
• Assist with customer design-in of VR/PMIC reference designs.
• Document design trees, test reports, and design guides.
