Transervice Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Tractor Diesel Mechanic/Technician in Melrose Park, IL. Starting pay is $38.44/hour with strong union health benefits (BCBS free for employee and family).

The role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel tractors and related systems, including Volvo D13, tractor EV and reefer options. Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair diesel equipment, including trucks and trailers.
• Experience with Volvo D13, tractor EV and reefer is a plus.
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT mandated inspections.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in diagnosis and repair of all assigned equipment.
• Determine vehicle condition via inspections and tests.
• Perform system repairs: engines, transmissions, air/hydraulic, tires, drive-train, steering, suspension, electrical, A/C.
• Complete preventive maintenance and safety inspections per regulations.
• Perform routine tractor/trailer maintenance and refrigeration system work.

Essential Functions Diesel TractorMechanic/Technician:

• You will maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all assigned equipment. Volvo D13, Tractor EV & Reefer experience is a plus
• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests
• Perform system repairs to include engines, transmission, air and hydraulic systems, tires, drive-train, steering and suspension, electrical and A/C.
• Perform all preventive maintenance inspections, state and federal mandated safety inspections and complete repairs in accordance with DOT requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, refrigeration systems
• PTT and TMT software experience preferred
• Starting Pay $38.44/hour!!
