Job summary

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is seeking Diesel Technicians to support on-highway, construction and agricultural equipment with Volvo products and other lines. Field technicians will service calls and perform inspections, maintenance and repairs to maximize uptime.

Applicants should have a two-year technical degree or equivalent, strong diagnostic skills, and a customer‑focused attitude. CDL is preferred but not required; comprehensive training is provided.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree and/or equivalent job experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on equipment including hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic systems.
• Carry out repairs and complex repairs to ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues reported by drivers or operators and provide effective solutions.
• Respond promptly to customer needs to ensure value for work performed.
• Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed.
• Complete service reports, order parts and maintain customer records.
• Field technicians will service calls at customer sites.

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Volvo Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment, along with being the Servicing Dealer for multiple other product lines that support the On Highway, Construction and Agriculture Industry.

Due to growth, we are currently looking to hire Diesel Technicians.

Technicians must be able to:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, including but not limited to machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems;
• Carrying out necessary repairs and conducting more complex repairs to ensure proper functioning;
• Troubleshooting and analyzing issues reported by drivers or operators, and providing effect solutions to address the problems;
• Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed;
• Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed;
• Complete service reports, order parts and maintain clear customer records;
• Field Technicians will be going out to service calls.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Two year technical degree and/or equivalent job experience in any of the above fields.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems.
• Previous experience working on Volvo equipment is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills.
• Positive attitude and desire to provide outstanding customer service.
• Computer, written and verbal communication skills.
• CDL is preferred.
