Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in power markets, fluency with market modelling tools (PLEXOS/PROMOD/Aurora/GridView), and strong Python/SQL skills to deliver actionable recommendations for complex projects.

This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape investment and commercial strategy across U.S. electricity markets. Working at the forefront of the energy transition, you will deliver market intelligence and analytical insights that influence development, commercial, and capital allocation decisions across a diverse infrastructure portfolio.

You will lead advanced power market analysis, support investment underwriting, and help optimize project valuation and risk assessment. The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to become a recognized internal expert on evolving power market dynamics, regulatory changes, and market opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead electricity market modelling and analysis to support investment and commercial decisions
• Develop, maintain, and improve internal market models and data sets
• Translate complex analytical outputs into clear business recommendations
• Support asset valuation, investment underwriting, and risk assessment activities
• Monitor regulatory and market developments across key U.S. power markets

Requirements:

• Significant experience using production cost modelling platforms such as PLEXOS, PROMOD, Aurora, GridView, PAS, Dayzer, or similar for power market analysis and decision support.
• Strong experience analyzing U.S. power markets, with expertise in organised electricity markets such as ERCOT, MISO, PJM, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in power markets, energy analytics, investment analysis, consulting, or energy trading.
• Advanced quantitative skills, including Excel and programming languages such as Python, SQL, VBA, or similar.
• Ability to translate complex market and modelling outputs into commercial, investment, and risk management insights.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of transmission systems, power flow fundamentals, and locational marginal pricing.
• Experience supporting investment underwriting, asset valuation, or portfolio optimization activities.
• Familiarity with renewable energy, energy storage, transmission, data centers, and large load growth trends.
• Understanding of linear programming, optimization techniques, and quantitative market modelling methodologies.
