Storm4 is recruiting a Senior Quantitative Analyst to join a leading energy trading and analytics organisation. You will develop pricing models, forecast market dynamics, and support high-value wholesale energy transactions across North American power markets.

You will work with traders, originators and risk professionals to build analytical tools that drive trading, valuation and optimisation decisions, with visibility across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, energy markets, commodity trading, valuation, or risk management.
• Strong understanding of statistical modelling and financial mathematics.
• Experience building models using Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance quantitative models used for energy valuation, forecasting, and trading decisions.
• Create pricing methodologies for structured power and commodity transactions.
• Support valuation activities across wholesale energy products and market contracts.
• Build forecasting models for energy prices, volatility, capacity markets, and related commodities.
• Conduct statistical and financial analysis using advanced quantitative techniques.
• Partner with commercial, trading, and risk teams to evaluate opportunities and market exposures.
• Design tools that improve risk assessment, portfolio management, and decision-making processes.
• Research market fundamentals, regulatory changes, and industry developments affecting energy markets.
