Job summary

Hanwha Renewables in Irvine and across North America seeks a Power Marketing Analyst to support the analysis of power market trends, risk assessment, regulatory developments, and insights guiding power marketing and origination for solar and energy storage projects.

The role helps source and execute offtake opportunities with utilities and LSEs, and to build partnerships around PPAs and tolling structures, with attention to new revenue mechanisms and market dynamics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering, sustainability, finance, or a related field.
• Coursework or experience in power systems, economics, operations and planning, optimization, data analysis, or programming.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of client engagement and power marketing strategies across the U.S.
• Maintain business-tracking systems, including CRM platforms and RFP trackers.
• Prepare or support preparation of presentations for executive and customer briefings.
• Monitor, track, and summarize load-serving entities' integrated resource and procurement plans.
• Monitor opportunities across U.S. markets and document them for future reference.
• Coordinate proposal preparation in response to RFPs by gathering information from SME across the organization.
• Monitor market developments and document relevant details in shared folders.
• Assist in modeling and evaluating market design changes impacting procurement opportunities and prices.
• Support forecasting of nodal/zonal and OTC energy prices for markets over long horizons.
• Participate in internal and external meetings and communicate clearly with diverse audiences.
