Job summary

Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon, is seeking a Lab Engineering Power Technician to conduct engineering tests and validations on VRs and power solutions within a lab environment.

You will perform platform rework, soldering, component replacement, and advanced testing with scopes, probes, and DMMs, while reading schematics and maintaining lab equipment. This on-site role supports DCG in delivering power innovations for data centers.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a similar technical discipline.
• 6+ months of experience in platform rework, soldering and component replacement.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, probes, DMMs, and function generators.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical validation and testing of Voltage Regulators (VRs) and other power solutions.
• Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment to identify nonstandard issues.
• Execute platform rework, including soldering, replacing components, and package rework.
• Utilize lab tools such as oscilloscopes, probes, multimeters, and function generators for advanced testing.
• Read, interpret, and work with schematics and board layout databases.
• Manage routine lab maintenance, including equipment calibration and tracking parts and platforms.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and communicate findings effectively to engineers and stakeholders.
