Job summary

Lightmatter is seeking a Power Integrity engineer to drive next-generation products from concept to development. You will join the Signal Integrity, Power Integrity and Packaging team, shaping PDN design and analysis from lab bring-up to meet power integrity requirements.

This role involves collaboration across digital, analog and photonics domains to solve complex interactions while achieving stringent power goals. Lightmatter offers a hybrid work model and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of power delivery and power integrity analysis for high performance CPUs/SoCs.
Experience with PDN modeling and PCB/packaging considerations.
Proficiency with circuit simulation tools for PI analysis.
Experience in DC-DC converter design.

Responsibilities

Support the design and analysis of PDNs for digital/analog SoC domains.
Model regulator characteristics including switching ripple and transient response.
Use 2.5D EM solvers to extract impedance and generate N-port models.
Perform time- and frequency-domain simulations of supply rails.
Conduct lab measurements with programmable loads and oscilloscopes.
Collaborate with hardware designers and layout engineers on PDN improvements.
Participate in design reviews and document analysis results and recommendations.
Monitor PDN constraints during layout and provide feedback.
Assist senior engineers in system-level tradeoffs and architecture evaluations.
