Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech II) in the Power/HVAC division to perform maintenance and minor repairs on diesel engines, HVAC, and dehumidification/purification equipment. You will service and repair a range of equipment, document activities, and travel to customer sites as needed.

The role emphasizes safe, professional operation and exceptional customer service, with opportunities to advance within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Intermediate diagnostic repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic systems.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment.
• Document service activities clearly.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
