Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, seeks a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC and diesel systems in a safe, professional manner. You will service a variety of rental and customer equipment and help demonstrate equipment to customers.

This on-site role emphasizes strong diagnostic ability, customer service, and teamwork, with occasional travel to customer sites and involvement in documentation and parts delivery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic systems.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Responsible for service documentation.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
