Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech II) in our Power/HVAC division. You will maintain and repair diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment, delivering safe, professional service.

This role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, documentation, and customer interaction, with occasional travel to customer sites and opportunities to advance within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic systems.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on equipment.
• Responsible for service documentation.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as needed.
