Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a skilled Senior DCC Operator to monitor, analyze, and manage outage events across the distribution system, ensuring accurate real-time information for efficient restoration at the feeder level. You will work with Grid Management teams, perform OMS/DMS/SCADA modeling, and issue safety tags under distribution control authority in a 24/7 rotating environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a High-school Diploma or GED.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills are important.
• Strong computer and technical aptitude is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct outage dispatching for feeder level outages and below, coordinating field resources to restore power.
• Review outage information and ensure OMS/DMS modeling is accurate for distribution optimization.
• Monitor DSCADA and DMS systems, open/close breakers, and manage alarms and responses.
• Assist in directing restoration during large outages and maintain accurate system models for MW reductions.
